This year, the Ukrainian forces will have every opportunity to conduct a large-scale offensive operation to liberate as much territory as possible, but it still will be very difficult for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to eject the Russian forces from every inch of Ukrainian land.
In the afternoon on Friday, the Ukrainian military shot down a Merlin-VR and an Orlan-10 Russian UAVs of operational-tactical level in the southern and eastern directions.
During the day, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched 14 strikes on the areas of concentration of the Russian invaders and three strikes on the positions of the enemy's anti-aircraft missile systems.
Ukraine’s Air Force launches 17 strikes on enemy positions
Military personnel of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine had a series of defensive battles with the Russian invaders near the town of Bakhmut. As a result, an enemy recon team was eliminated and the assault was repelled.

Air Force launches 27 strikes on enemy positions
Today, January 19, the Air Force of Ukraine launched 21 strikes on the areas of concentration of Russian forces, as well as 6 strikes on the positions of their anti-aircraft missile systems.
Germany will continue to provide Ukraine with military support, including by sending equipment from Bundeswehr's reserves.
There will be no new "Minsk" as Russians can’t be trusted
Ukraine’s Defense Forces have repelled enemy attacks near 14 settlements in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, including Soledar and Bakhmut.
The U.S. intelligence claims that fierce battles are raging near the Donetsk region’s Soledar and Bakhmut. However, Russians do not have full control over any of these settlements.

The Air Force of Ukraine launched 13 strikes on enemy concentration areas, as well as three strikes on the positions of their anti-aircraft missile systems.
Ukrainian forces hit command post, strike enemy positions
Several groups of Russian infantry tried to bypass a stronghold of the Ukrainian defenders near Bakhmut, but the border guards stopped the enemy's advance and eliminated five invaders.
Russian troops are focusing efforts mainly on conducting the offensive in the Bakhmut direction. In the Avdiivka direction, enemy offensive actions are unsuccessful.
