Ukraine’s Air Force launches 10 strikes on enemy positions, Russia’s Su-25 destroyed

The Air Force of Ukraine launched 10 strikes on enemy positions. Russia’s Su-25 assault aircraft was destroyed.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in an evening update on Facebook on January 17, Ukrinform reports

"During the day, aircraft of the Defense Forces of Ukraine carried out 10 strikes on the areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment. During the day, our defenders destroyed an enemy Su-25 aircraft," the report says.

Units of the Ukrainian rocket troops and artillery hit two enemy command posts and an area of concentration of invaders, as well as an enemy ammunition depot, an electronic warfare system and a radar station.

It is noted that the Russian troops continue to conduct the full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine. Having no major achievements on the battlefield, the enemy strikes peaceful settlements, continues to destroy the infrastructure and homes of the civilian population, violating the norms of international humanitarian law, the laws and customs of war.

During the day, the Russian invaders launched four missile strikes, hitting a civilian object in the city of Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. In addition, the enemy launched 13 air strikes and carried out 23 attacks using MLRS.

It is emphasized that there is still a threat of enemy air strikes and missile attacks on critical infrastructure facilities throughout Ukraine

As reported by Ukrinform, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated about 116,950 Russian troops in Ukraine from February 24, 2022 to January 17, 2023.
