War update: Ukraine Army repels enemy attacks near 14 settlements, including Soledar, Bakhmut

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Over the past day, Ukraine’s Defense Forces have repelled attacks by the occupiers near the Luhansk region’s Bilohorivka and the Donetsk region’s Terny, Verkhniokamianske, Soledar, Sil, Krasna Hora, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Kurdiumivka, Vodiane, Marinka, Pobieda and Paraskoviivka,” the report states.

Russian troops launched 25 air strikes, and opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) over 85 times.

The threat of missile and air strikes is persisting all over Ukraine.

In the Volyn, Polissia, Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the situation remained unchanged. No enemy offensive groupings were detected within the areas bordering with Ukraine. The designated units of Russian and Belarusian armed forces continue completing tasks. Hence, the enemy is demonstrating their presence near the border.

Russian invaders launched mortar and artillery strikes near the Chernihiv region’s Buchky, the Sumy region’s Popivka, and the Kharkiv region’s Budarky, Zemlianky, Hatyshche, Zelene, Vovchansk, Ternova, Krasne, Kamianka, Chuhunivka, Novomlynsk and Dvorichna.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian troops opened fire on the Kharkiv region’s Kurylivka, Petropavlivka, Kyslivka, Ivanivka, Krokhmalne, Synkivka, Berestove and Tabaivka, and the Luhansk region’s Stelmakhivka.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy shelled the positions of Ukrainian forces near the Kharkiv region’s Druzheliubivka, and the Luhansk region’s Novoiehorivka, Nevske, Chervonopopivka and Dibrova.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian occupiers launched artillery strikes near 22 settlements, including Verkhniokamianske, Bilohorivka, Vesele, Maiorsk, Krasna Hora, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Kurdiumivka and Druzhba.

In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy shelled the Donetsk region’s Avdiivka, Vodiane, Nevelske, Pervomaiske, Heorhiivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Russian troops opened fire on the Donetsk region’s Velyka Novosilka, Zolota Nyva and Vuhledar.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy launched artillery strikes on 24 settlements, including the Donetsk region’s Vremivka and Novopil, and the Zaporizhzhia region’s Poltavka, Malynivka, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Stepove, Kamianske and Plavni.

In the Kherson direction, Russian occupiers continue causing terror against civilians. The enemy used MLRS to open fire on over 20 settlements, including Antonivka, Berehove, Vesele, Kachkarivka, Yantarne and Kherson. Casualties among civilians were reported.

Over the past day, Ukrainian air forces have launched 13 strikes on enemy clusters and three on air defense system positions.

The Ukrainian military shot down Russia’s Ka-52 helicopter and Merlin-VR unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).

Ukraine’s missile and artillery units hit three Russian command posts, five enemy personnel clusters, one ammunition depot, and two other important targets.
