The S-300 and S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems, which inflict devastating strikes on Ukraine, must be destroyed at their firing positions.

This was announced by the spokesman for Ukraine’s Air Force Yuriy Ihnat, who spoke at a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine — Ukrinform.

"S-300 and S-400 missiles are a threat. And the best option for us is to destroy them in their firing positions. In the East, the range is up to 150 km. They must be engaged at the positions from which they strike," said the spokesman.

According to Ihnat, the fact that the enemy began to use more of S-300 and S-400 missiles against ground targets indicates that they are short on ballistic missiles. According to Ukraine’s intelligence, the enemy has less than 100 Iskanders left in stock. In this way, the enemy uses the potential of the S-300 as there are many of these left in depots as Russia manufactures them itself.

“S-400, a new system that they are very proud of, has an operating range of hundreds of kilometers. That is why the S-300s and S-400s are a threat," the spokesperson said

As reported, on January 14, a Russian missile hit a nine-storey apartment building in Dnipro, annihilating two blocks from the 9th to the 2nd floor (72 apartments were destroyed and more than 230 were damaged).

According to the State Emergency Service, as of 13:00 on January 16, the death toll rose to 40. Of those killed by the Russian strike, three are children.
