Russians shell Kostiantynivka with tube artillery, civilian killed
According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Facebook by Serhii Horbunov, Head of the Kostiantynivka Town Military Administration.
He noted that Russian invading forces continue to strike residential neighborhoods in Kostiantynivka, turning the lives of peaceful residents into a constant struggle for survival.
“Today, the enemy carried out another shelling with tube artillery. Unfortunately, this attack claimed the life of a civilian. The injuries sustained were incompatible with life – the person died at the scene,” the town official wrote.
Horbunov stressed that the situation in the community remains extremely tense, and that it is currently impossible to conduct a full inspection of the attack sites due to the immediate threat of repeated shelling and the high activity of enemy unmanned aerial vehicles constantly operating over the area.
“The enemy does not allow even the dignified and safe recovery of the bodies of the dead or the provision of assistance to the wounded, once again confirming its insidious tactics of terror,” Horbunov emphasized.
He again urged all civilians to evacuate in order to save their lives.
As reported, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of 16:00 on Tuesday, December 30, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions in the Kostiantynivka sector near Oleksandro-Shultyne, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, and toward Kostiantynivka, Stepanivka, Novopavlivka, and Sofiivka. Nine attacks were repelled, while two engagements are still ongoing.
