A defensive-offensive operation is ongoing in Donetsk region. The defense forces have success not only on the flanks around Bakhmut but also on other areas of the front.
Ukrinform has repeatedly covered the difficult situation at the Kakhovka HPP that came about due to the Russian occupation of the region. The HPP was mined as early as April 2022.
More than two thousand groups, including rescuers and police officers, are currently working to inspect shelters across Ukraine.
Due to the Kakhovka HPP dam blast, the plant’s engine room, which contained 450 tonnes of fuel oil, was also destroyed, and 150 tonnes of technical fuel oil spilled into the Dnipro River.
The explosion of Kakhovka HPP does not directly affect the operation of Zaporizhzhia NPP. An algorithm of measures for the operation of the plant and personnel has been developed in case the water of the Kakhovka reservoir is not enough to recharge the cooling pond.
Four evacuation points have already been deployed in Kherson.
Enemy losses in killed and wounded in Tavria direction amount to more than three companies; 55 units of enemy weapons and military equipment were destroyed and damaged.
About 16,000 people are currently in the disaster area on the right-bank Kherson region as the Russians blew up the Kakhovka HPP dam.
