Czech Republic to join Special Tribunal Agreement

The Czech Republic intends to join the Enlarged Partial Agreement to launch a Special Tribunal on the crime of aggression against Ukraine.

This was announced by Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andrii Sybiha, on social media platform X, Ukrinform reports.

“Grateful to the Czech Republic for notifying the Council of Europe of its willingness to join the Enlarged Partial Agreement required to launch the Special Tribunal. Czechia becomes the 23rd state to join this historic effort and we hope to see more responsible states to follow suit,” the minister wrote.

He also recalled that on May 14-15 in Chisinau, Moldova, the agreement will be put to vote at the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers.

“Those who unleashed war on our country and continue to wage it must know that justice for the crime of aggression against Ukraine is inevitable,” the head of Ukrainian diplomacy emphasized.

As reported by Ukrinform, Greece became the 22nd country to notify the Council of Europe of its intention to join the Enlarged Partial Agreement.
