Zelensky: We have information on which areas will be main targets for Russian forces this spring and summer

Volodymyr Zelensky made this statement in an evening address, according to Ukrinform.

“We have data on which directions will be the main ones for the Russians in the spring and summer. And also their additional directions for the fall. We will provide our partners with the available information regarding operations that the Russians are potentially planning in NATO countries,” he said, assuring that Ukraine and its partners can defend themselves.

The President also said that he had heard important briefings from the Main Intelligence Directorate and the Security Service of Ukraine regarding Russia’s plans, noting that Russia hopes global instability will provide it with greater revenue and opportunities to wage war.

“Unfortunately, they have no plans for peace. We view this with a clear-eyed perspective. We will defend ourselves; we will defend Ukraine. We will continue to put pressure on Russia and do everything to ensure real diplomacy. We are planning for peace. And we are working toward this in Ukraine and with our partners,” Zelensky noted.

According to him, the Ukrainian side understands how the war in Iran is affecting the mood of the American team.

“The Americans are preoccupied with other matters, not the war here in Europe. And Europe has fewer opportunities to influence Russia. But we have our own tasks. The Ukrainian team is in constant contact with American partners so that they understand both the risks and the prospects. And also with Europe. And we are increasing our defense capabilities,” the head of state concluded.

As reported by Ukrinform, Zelensky stated that the Russian political leadership is planning further offensive operations and preparing to mobilize more personnel, in particular by expanding mobilization efforts.
