Russians shell border of Sumy region twice with artillery

As of 15:00 on April 24, Russian troops fired twice at the border of the Sumy region with cannon artillery.

The operational command "North" reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

From 14:00 to 14:15, nine attacks, probably from cannon artillery, were recorded near the village of Kucherivka.

"There was no information about casualties among the local population. According to the State Emergency Service, a residential building caught fire as a result of the shelling. Rescuers are working at the scene," the statement said.

Between 13:51 and 14:10, eight strikes, probably from cannon artillery, were recorded in the area of Shalyhyne. There were no reports of casualties among the local population or damage to civilian infrastructure.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, in the morning, Russians fired artillery at two communities in the Sumy region.
