Three radars purchased as part of the Lithuanian charity campaign Radarom/"Let's Radar" were shipped to Ukraine in March, the remaining 13 have arrived in Lithuania and are being prepared for transportation.

The LRT broadcaster reported this with reference to the Blue/Yellow organization supporting Ukraine, according to Ukrinform.

“We received the first radars back in March, and the rest of the shipment arrived in stages. We have sent three radars to Ukraine. Now that we have all the others, we are preparing them for shipment to Ukraine. We are moving at a good pace and much of the work has been finished,” Jonas Ohman, the head of the organization, is quoted in a statement.

Speaking about the radars, Ohman emphasized that they are large-sized special-purpose devices that are not easy to transfer due to the need to coordinate documentation, permits, and transportation. It took about a month to procure and ship 12 regular stationary and four mobile special-purpose radars to Lithuania, he said.

As reported earlier, Ukrainians were trained in March in Kaunas to work with radars purchased through donations. The event, called Radarom ("Let's Radar"), took place from early January to February 24. The national broadcaster DKE and Blue/Yellow organizations, Laisves TV, 1K fond foundation, and Stiprus kartu ("Strong Together") organization took part in the campaign. The campaign, dedicated to the anniversary of the beginning of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, raised 14 million euros.
