During the latest round of trilateral negotiations in the Ukraine-U.S.-Russia format, some issues were clarified, while others remain subject to further coordination.

According to Ukrinform, Rustem Umerov, Secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, announced this on Facebook.

"Today, another round of trilateral negotiations in the Ukraine-U.S.-Russia format took place. The work was intensive and substantive," Umerov said.

He thanked the American partners "for ensuring that the process continues and moves forward" and the Swiss side "for their hospitality and for providing the platform."

"Within the delegation, both the political and military tracks were engaged. We discussed security parameters and mechanisms for implementing possible decisions. Some issues were clarified, while others require additional coordination," Umerov said.

"We are focused on working through the key provisions necessary to finalize the process. This is complex work that requires agreement by all parties and time. There is progress, but no details at this stage," he said.

According to Umerov, "the next step is to reach the necessary level of alignment to submit the developed decisions for consideration by the presidents. Our task is to prepare a real, not a formal, foundation for this."

"Ukraine is working constructively. The ultimate goal remains unchanged – a just and sustainable peace," Umerov said.

As previously reported, negotiations between the delegations of Ukraine, the United States, and Russia have concluded in Geneva.
