President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine seeks a lasting peace and is prepared to enter negotiation as soon as possible.

He shared this statement on social media platform X, as reported by Ukrinform.

"None of us wants an endless war. Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring lasting peace closer. Nobody wants peace more than Ukrainians. My team and I stand ready to work under President Trump’s strong leadership to get a peace that lasts. We are ready to work fast to end the war, and the first stages could be the release of prisoners and truce in the sky — ban on missiles, long-ranged drones, bombs on energy and other civilian infrastructure — and truce in the sea immediately, if Russia does the same. Then we want to move very fast through all next stages and to work with the US to agree a strong final deal," Zelensky stated.

He also expressed appreciation for the support the United States has provided, helping Ukraine preserve its sovereignty and independence.

"And we remember the moment when things changed when President Trump provided Ukraine with Javelins. We are grateful for this," Zelensky noted.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, a Spokesperson for the UK Prime Minister stated that several ceasefire proposals are currently on the table regarding Ukraine.

On February 28, the meeting between the Presidents of Ukraine and the United States at the White House ended early due to disagreements over facts about the war in Ukraine and trust in negotiation with Putin. As a result, no agreement was signed between the two countries regarding minerals extraction.

According to media reports, U.S. President Donald Trump has ordered a pause on all U.S. military aid to Ukraine, aiming to pressure Kyiv into demonstrating "good-faith commitment" to peace.
