There is a downward trend in the rate of water level rise in rivers in northern Ukraine. However, 21,100 hectares (ha) of agricultural land in Dnipro, Volyn, Rivne, Cherkasy, and Poltava regions are flooded.
As of April 19, Ukrhydroenergo HPP operator has recorded a decline in flood levels, but hydroelectric power plants and pumped storage plants continue to make controlled water discharges on the Dnipro and Dniester rivers.
