In Lviv, 12 victims of terrorist attack remain in hospitals, three in critical condition
According to Ukrinform, the press service of the Lviv City Council reported this.
“As of the morning of February 23, 12 patients who were injured in the terrorist attack in Lviv on the night of February 22 remain in hospitals of the First Territorial Medical Association. The three most seriously injured patients are in the intensive care unit of St. Panteleimon Hospital. Their condition is critical,” the report says.
It is noted that the day before, these three patients underwent complex surgical procedures due to mine-blast injuries and other emergency surgical procedures. Doctors continue to struggle to save their lives and to monitor these patients' conditions around the clock.
At St. Luke's Hospital, two victims with moderate injuries are being treated in the surgical department, and seven are being treated in specialized departments.
Eleven more people were referred for outpatient treatment after receiving medical care. Their condition is stable and does not require hospitalization.
As reported by Ukrinform, two explosions were heard in the center of Lviv on the night of February 22. It has been established that two homemade explosive devices were planted at 20 Danylyshyna Street between 11:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. the day before. The explosions killed 23-year-old police officer Viktoriia Shpylka and injured 24 other people. Law enforcement officers quickly identified the person involved in the terrorist attack. The woman was detained in Staryi Sambir.
