Nearly 700 buildings in Kyiv remain without heating after energy system emergency
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba said this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"Restoration work to resume heat supply in the capital is ongoing following the emergency in the energy system. Since yesterday evening, heating has already been restored to more than 2,700 buildings. At the same time, 693 buildings remain without heat. Some of them were affected by the latest enemy strike," the statement said.
According to Kuleba, the most difficult situation is in the Solomianskyi and Pecherskyi districts.
An additional 114 crews and more than 500 workers have been deployed, including specialists from other regions and Ukrzaliznytsia.
Sixty-nine mobile boiler units have been deployed to support hospitals, maternity hospitals, and key resilience hubs.
Water supply and wastewater services in the city are operating as normal.
Restoration work is ongoing.
