Hotel fire in central Kyiv extinguished, 57 evacuated

Rescuers extinguished a fire at a hotel in central Kyiv, evacuating 57 people from the building.

Ukraine's State Emergency Service reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

"A fire broke out in a room on the third floor of a hotel on Khreshchatyk. Rescuers evacuated 57 people, including one child," the statement said.

The fire has now been extinguished. There were no fatalities or injuries.

A total of 70 rescuers and 11 pieces of equipment from the State Emergency Service were deployed at the scene.

Law enforcement will determine the cause of the fire.

Early on February 5, the Kyiv City State Administration said that a fire broke out at the Dnipro Hotel on Khreshchatyk.
