Defense Forces reduce “gray zone” in south, Voloshyn says
This was reported by Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesman for the Operation Task Force South, in a comment to Ukrinform.
"We carried out certain counterattacks and assaults and slightly reduced the ‘gray zone’ near the settlements of Vyshneve, Verbove, and Ternove. The ‘red zone’ has been somewhat reduced and the grey zone has increased, meaning that we have repelled enemy fortification groups, prevented them from advancing in these sectors, and continue to carry out active counterattacks," he said.
According to the spokesman, dozens of combat clashes occurred in the Huliaipole and Oleksandrivka sectors over the past day.
"Over the past day, we have recorded 27 reconnaissance, search, and assault operations in the Huliaipole and Oleksandrivka sectors, some of which were counterattacks. We do not allow enemies to enter certain areas and repel them. This is a planned set of measures, and drones, artillery, and electronic warfare are working to stop the enemy and repel them in some areas," Voloshyn said.
As reported by Ukrinform, the Russian army has attacked Ukrainian positions 102 times since the beginning of the day, most actively trying to advance in the Huliaipole and Pokrovsk sectors. Defense Forces are holding back the enemy.
