British ambassador calls on Russia to stop burning and stealing Ukrainian grain

British Ambassador to Ukraine Melinda Simmons has called on Russia to adhere to the grain deal and stop burning and appropriating Ukrainian grain.

According to Ukrinform, Simmons wrote this on her Twitter account.

"This [the departure of the first vessel with Ukrainian grain from the port of Odesa] is such an important step but it is a first step. Russia now needs to honor their side of this deal and let grain ships pass safely. And they need to stop burning and appropriating Ukrainian grain," she said.

Early on August 1, the Sierra Leone-flagged cargo ship RAZONI, loaded with 26,000 tonnes of Ukrainian corn, left the Odesa port bound for the port of Tripoli in Lebanon.
