War update: 133 combat clashes on front since dawn

Russian forces attacked Ukrainian defensive positions 133 times since the beginning of the day, with 33 assaults recorded in the Pokrovsk sector.

This was reported by Ukrinform, citing operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 22:00 on April 15, 2026, on Facebook.

“Overall, 133 combat engagements have taken place since the beginning of the day. The enemy carried out one missile strike, used three missiles, conducted 50 airstrikes, and dropped 137 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they deployed 5,645 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,380 shellings of populated areas and Ukrainian positions,” the report says.

According to the General Staff, in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the enemy carried out two airstrikes, dropped four guided bombs, and conducted 85 shelling attacks, two of them using multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian forces launched three assaults near the settlements of Starytsia, Vovchansk, and Vovchanski Khutory. One engagement is still ongoing.

In the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled two enemy assaults toward Novoplatonivka.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian troops repelled four attempts to advance toward Shyikivka, Novoserhiivka, and Lyman. One engagement is still ongoing.

In the Sloviansk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled one attack near Zakitne.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy launched four attacks near Minkivka, Nykyforivka, and toward Tykhonivka and Fedorivka.

Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 12 assaults in the Kostiantynivka sector near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, and Sofiivka, as well as toward Illinivka and Novopavlivka. One engagement is ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian forces carried out 33 assaults, attempting to advance near Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Hryshyne, Muravka, Novomykolaivka, Molodetske, Filiia, as well as toward Novooleksandrivka, Nove Shakhove, Shevchenko, Bilytske, and Ivanivka. Three engagements are still ongoing.

Preliminary estimates indicate that in this sector alone today, 62 Russian soldiers were killed and 15 wounded. Ukrainian forces also destroyed five vehicles and seven pieces of special equipment, damaged one self-propelled artillery system, three artillery systems, one vehicle, and 19 enemy shelters. A total of 76 drones of various types were destroyed or jammed.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, Russian forces made seven attempts to advance attacking near Oleksandrohrad, Vorone, Ternove, Kalynivske, and Zlahoda.

In the Huliaipole sector, there were 11 assaults near Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Pryluky, and toward Dobropillia, Huliaipilske, Staroukrainka, Hirke, and Tsvitkove. Airstrikes were carried out near Vozdvyzhivka, Charivne, and Kopani.

In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy carried out airstrikes on the town of Orikhiv.

In the Prydniprovske sector, Russian forces launched five unsuccessful assaults toward the Antonivskyi Bridge.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, Russian troops have intensified offensive operations along almost the entire front line, while Ukrainian Defense Forces continue active defense operations and regained control of nearly 50 square kilometers of territory in March.
