Zelensky: Italy interested in drone deal
The Ukrainian leader made this announcement in Rome during a press briefing, according to Ukrinform.
“Ukraine has developed a special security agreement format, which we call the ‘drone deal’—our military expertise, defense capabilities regarding drones, missiles, electronic warfare systems, data exchange, and so on. We propose combining all of this with our partners’ capabilities. We will only strengthen each other. It is important that Italy is interested in such cooperation,” Zelensky said.
According to him, leadership teams from both countries will work out the details of the drone deal between Ukraine and Italy.
“We are working to increase cooperation between our defense sectors and our defense companies. This will certainly boost technology and create jobs in both countries,” the President assured.
As reported by Ukrinform, on April 14 in Oslo, Zelensky and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre signed a declaration on defense partnership, launching the Drone Deal with Norway.
