Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin will not stop killing Ukrainian children unless he faces constant international pressure. The world must respond with tougher sanctions and increased military support for Ukraine.

Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said this in a statement on the social platform X following another night of Russian attacks targeting civilians, Ukrinform reports.

"Just yesterday, Ukraine honored the memory of children killed as a result of Russia's armed aggression. Today, Russia continues to target Ukrainian children. Without sustained international pressure, Putin will not stop. The world must respond with stronger sanctions and greater support for Ukraine's defense," the ministry said.

It recalled that Russia killed five people, including a child just 1 year and 4 months old, last night in Pryluky, Chernihiv region. Six others suffered injuries. The drones sparked large fires in the residential area, burning down two homes.

In Kharkiv, Russian drones injured 17 people – four of them are children. Fires broke out in a 17-story high-rise, a 5-story building, and three vehicles.

In Kherson, Russian strikes damaged five apartment buildings, a school, and an administrative building, injuring two men.

In the Odesa region, another wave of Russian drones struck a medical facility, a children's center, and a high school.

On June 4, President Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska, joined by parents of deceased children and foreign ambassadors, honored the memory of Ukrainian children killed by Russia.

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, at least 632 children have been killed as a result of Russian shelling and combat. However, this number is not final, as Ukraine lacks access to temporarily occupied territories and data on casualties in those areas.
