Russian troop activity is particularly high: Syrskyi visits Pokrovsk sector
According to Ukrinform, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine General Oleksandr Syrskyi reported this on Facebook.
“Russian occupation forces are particularly active in the Pokrovsk sector. Over the past week, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled a total of 260 enemy attacks here,” he noted.
Syrskyi added that he had made another working trip to the area of responsibility of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces—specifically, he met with the commanders of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade Anna Kyivska, the 25th Separate Sicheslav Airborne Brigade, and assault units.
“We discussed the details of the operational situation and the commanders’ proposals for improving combat effectiveness, as well as options for further action. We focused on ways to counter enemy UAVs, particularly FPV drones,” he reported.
According to the Commander-in-Chief, during this trip, he also discussed several initiatives aimed at reducing the number of Russian occupiers with Major Robert Brovdi, Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and awarded the best service members.
“I thank the soldiers for their resilience, professionalism, and outstanding results in defeating the enemy,” he emphasized.
As reported by Ukrinform, 164 combat engagements between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders were recorded on the front lines over the past 24 hours, on April 8.
