On August 16, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba presented a video address at a meeting of Moldovan ambassadors in Chisinau.

This was reported by NewsMaker, according to Ukrinform.

"Be sure that Ukraine is your ally and friend. We continue to fight to ensure that Russian aggression never reaches the borders of Moldova. We continue to fight for Ukraine and Moldova to remain free," Kuleba said.

He emphasized that Russian aggression against Ukraine is a direct threat to Moldova.

"I'm not just talking about Russian missile debris falling on your territory or power outages after massive missile strikes on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. Moscow has literally deployed its entire hybrid arsenal against the Moldovan government: disinformation, energy blackmail, incitement of anti-government sentiment, provocations in the Transnistrian region, and many other attempts to undermine the constitutional order. I am pleased to congratulate you on the failure of these attempts," the minister said.

He added that Ukraine will continue to support Moldova in preserving its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

"Moldova, together with Ukraine, has successfully achieved the status of an EU candidate country. You have effectively limited the influence of Russian propaganda in your country. You have banned the Russian symbols V and Z, as well as the St. George's ribbon. I am also grateful to Moldova for recognizing the Holodomor as a genocide of the Ukrainian people and for supporting the creation of a special international tribunal to investigate crimes committed by the Russian army in Ukraine. These are not just gestures. This is a recognition of the fact that our states belong to the same civilizational space," the Ukrainian Foreign Minister said.
