Russia may propose that the West lift some sanctions on certain Russian companies in exchange for a ceasefire with Ukraine.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said this in an interview with Bloomberg, according to Ukrinform.

“I think Russia can raise the issue of a ceasefire in exchange for lifting sanctions on certain enterprises. I know that they are raising the issue of lifting the SWIFT sanction so that their banks can work. For Ukraine, all this is a big risk,” the Ukrainian President said.

At the same time, Zelensky urged the United States and Europe to keep sanctions against Russia in place and not fall for Moscow’s attempts to ease them.

The President also confirmed that invitations for envoys of Trump’s envoys Witkoff and Kushner to visit Kyiv remains in place.

According to him, they remain in contact with their Ukrainian counterparts by phone.
