U.S. acknowledges Russia is helping Iran in war

Head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Caine, stated that Russia is to some extent assisting Iran in its war with the United States.

According to Ukrinform, The Guardian stated this in an article.

During public hearings at the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee, Caine told senators that Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin is helping Iran's military efforts.

Caine declined to provide details due to the public nature of the hearing, but said: "There's definitely some action there."

Committee chairman, Republican Senator Roger Wicker, agreed with Caine.

"There's no question that Vladimir Putin's Russia is taking serious action to undermine our efforts for success in Iran," Wicker said.

As Ukrinform reported, in March, U.S. President Donald Trump said that Putin might be helping Iran.

In April, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the United States is ignoring convincing evidence that Russia is helping Iran strike U.S. bases in the Middle East because it "trusts" Putin.
