Amid growing losses on the Bakhmut axis, the Russian forces gave up a plan to launch an assault in the area overnight Thursday.
Since the full-scale invasion, Russian troops have fired off at Ukraine almost 5,000 missiles, also launching 3,500 airstrikes and 1,100 drone attacks.
Since May of last year, in the battles of Bakhmut, up to 30,000 servicemen with Russia’s regular army and mercenaries with the Wagner Group have been killed and wounded.

In the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s Air Force has launched eight strikes on Russian personnel and military equipment clusters. The Ukrainian military also destroyed an enemy Su-25 aircraft.

In Bakhmut direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled Russian attacks in the areas of four settlements. Fighting in Bakhmut town is ongoing.
Commander of Ukraine’s Ground Forces, Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi has said that the situation around Bakhmut, Donetsk region, remains difficult - the assault units of Russia's Wagner Group are advancing from several directions, trying to break through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian troops shelled three districts in Kharkiv region over the past day.
From February 24, 2022 to March 13, 2023, Ukraine’s Defense Forces eliminated 159,800 Russian aggressors, including 710 in the past day alone.
Despite significant losses, the enemy continues offensive operations on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Maryinka, and Shakhtarsk axes as Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled 102 assault attempts in the past 24 hours.

Since the beginning of the week, more than 1,100 Russian invaders have been eliminated and at least 1,500 more have been wounded in Bakhmut sector.
Ukraine’s Air Force has launched seven strikes on enemy targets in the past 24 hours. In particular, Russia’s air defense missile system was hit.
The military units of the Ukrainian Navy destroyed 15 Russian invaders and an enemy tank on Saturday, March 11.
