Ukraine reports 957 new tuberculosis cases in March

Ukraine recorded 957 new tuberculosis (TB) cases in March 2026.

The Public Health Center reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

A total of 1,321 people were registered with tuberculosis during the month. This includes 957 newly diagnosed cases (patients who had not previously received treatment), 296 relapse cases, and 68 other cases – including patients who resumed treatment, those with unsuccessful prior treatment, and individuals with unknown treatment history. A total of 265 patients were found to have drug-resistant forms of TB.

Of the 1,265 newly recorded TB episodes, 1,176 were pulmonary cases and 89 were extrapulmonary. Men accounted for 941 cases, while 324 were women. Additionally, 229 patients were HIV-positive.

In March 2026, 841 people in Ukraine recovered from tuberculosis.

Earlier reports from the Public Health Center said that 617 HIV cases were officially registered in Ukraine in March.
