In Bakhmut direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled Russian attacks in the areas of four settlements. Fighting in Bakhmut town is ongoing.

This is stated in the report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 18:00 on Monday, March 13, published on Facebook.

As noted, during the day, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched ten strikes on Russian personnel and military equipment clusters.

Meanwhile, the Russian aggressors continue to focus their main efforts on offensive operations in Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Marinka, and Shakhtarsk directions, and keep trying to reach the administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

During the day, the Russians launched 29 airstrikes, six missile strikes, and more than ten MLRS attacks.

In particular, the enemy launched a missile attack on a vocational agricultural lyceum in the village of Znob-Novhorodske, Sumy region, killing one civilian and injuring five more. The invaders also fired two rockets at a school in Avdiivka, Donetsk region, killing a local resident.

In Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna, and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.

During the day, the Russian troops shelled the areas of Mykhalchyna Sloboda in Chernihiv region; Znob-Novhorodske, Bachivsk, Starykove, Shalyhine in Sumy region; Strilecha, Hlyboke, Lukyantsi, Hatyshche, Vovchansk in Kharkiv region.

In Kupyansk and Lyman directions, the Russian army tries to break through the defense of the Ukrainian troops. The invaders made vain attempts to go on the offensive near Hrianykivka, Masiutivka, Nevske, Serebrianske forestry, Bilohorivka, and Verkhniokamyanka.

The areas of Hrianykivka, Kupyansk, and Krokhmalne in Kharkiv region; Makiivka, Dibrova, and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region came under enemy artillery fire.

"In Bakhmut direction, the enemy keeps trying to capture the town of Bakhmut. Enemy attacks were repelled in the areas of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, fighting continues in Bakhmut," the General Staff noted.

In particular, Bondarne, Vasiukivka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Bila Hora, Kostiantynivka, Zalizne in Donetsk region came under enemy shelling.

In Avdiivka, Marinka, Shakhtarsk directions, Russian troops carried out unsuccessful offensive actions near Kamyanka, Avdiivka, Sieverne, Pervomaiske, and Marinka. Areas of more than 10 settlements located near the contact line suffered from enemy strikes.

In particular, Kamyanka, Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Heorhiivka, and Vuhledar in Donetsk region were hit.

The enemy defends itself in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions. Malynivka, Huliaypole, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Kamyanske, Novosilka in Zaporizhzhia region; Tamaryne and Ochakiv in Mykolaiv region; more than 30 settlements in Kherson region, including Zolota Balka, Havrylivka, Beryslav, Zelenivka, Blahovishchenske, Kherson, and Dniprovske came under enemy fire.

Meanwhile, Russian troops continue to suffer losses. It was established that 150 Wagner group mercenaries were brought for treatment to Bilovodsk district hospital in the temporarily captured territory of Luhansk region.

According to the General Staff, the shortage of skilled workers is growing catastrophically at the Zaporizhzhia NPP in the temporarily occupied town of Enerhodar.

While the invaders employed people without appropriate education and experience at the NPP, the contract term of Rosatom representatives expired. They were not offered a new agreement or an extension of the current one. They were neither allowed to return to Russia as someone needs to work at the NPP.

"All this can lead to unforeseen consequences," the General Staff noted.
