Despite significant losses, the enemy continues offensive operations on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Maryinka, and Shakhtarsk axes as Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled 102 assault attempts in the past 24 hours.

That’s according to a morning update delivered by the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces seen by Ukrinform.

The military notes that the invaders continue to apply terror tactics, indiscriminately shelling populated areas, thereby grossly violating the norms of International Humanitarian Law.

"Over the past 24 hours, the enemy has launched three missile strikes, including on a civilian infrastructure facility in the city of Sloviansk, Donetsk region. The enemy has also launched eight airstrikes and 49 strikes employing multiple rocket launchers," the General Staff reported.

The level of missile threat remains high throughout the territory of Ukraine.

Over the past day, Ukraine’s Air Force has struck a Russian anti-aircraft missile complex, as well as six manpower and equipment clusters.

"Missile and artillery units hit a control post, two clusters, two ammunition depots, and a fuel depot," the update reads.

On the Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna, and Slobozhanshchyna axes, the operational situation has seen no significant change. The enemy maintains its presence near the state border of Ukraine, but no offensive groupings are being formed. The enemy keeps fortifying their positions in the border areas of Russia’s Belgorod region. The occupiers shelled the area of the Volfine of Sumy region, as well as Strelecha, Mali Prohody, Krasne, Velykyi Burluk, and Bolohivka of Kharkiv region.

The enemy is trying to penetrate Ukraine’s defenses on the Kupiansk and Lyman axes. They launched unsuccessful offensive efforts in the areas of Dvorichna, Nevske, Chervonpopivka, Kreminna, Dibrova, Bilohorivka, and Verkhniokamianske settlements. They also shelled the areas of Dvorichna, Zapadne, Masiutivka, Kupyansk, Krokhmalne, Pischane, and Cherneshchyna of Kharkiv region; Novoselivske, Makiivka, Nevske, Dibrova, and Bilohorivka of Luhansk region, as well as Siversk and Spirne of Donetsk region.

On the Bakhmut axis, the enemy doesn’t stop trying to capture the city of Bakhmut. Also, Ukraine’s defenders repelled enemy attacks in the areas of Vasiukivka, Minkivka, Orihovo-Vasylivka, and Ivanivske. Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Predtechine, Kurdyumivka, Ozaryanivka, Druzhba, Maiorsk, and New York of the Donetsk region came under enemy fire.

On the Avdiivka, Maryinka, and Shakhtarsk axes, the enemy ran unsuccessful offensive operations in the areas of Kamianka, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Severne, Pervomaiske, Maryinka, and Pobieda settlements. Areas of a number of settlements along the contact line, including Berdychi, Avdiivka, Tonenke, Vodiane, Heorhiivka, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Hostre, Pobieda, Vuhledar, Vremivka, and Neskuchne of Donetsk region were hit by enemy shelling.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson axes, the enemy is on defensive. Areas of settlements along the contact line, including Olhivske, Malynivka, Hulyaipole, Bilohirya, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanilivka, Novoandriivka, and Kamianske of Zaporizhzhia region, were shelled; as were the settlements of Beryslav, Ponyativka, Dniprovske, and Bilozerka of Kherson region, and Tamarina and Ochakiv of Mykolaiv region.

Russian invaders continue to plunder the temporarily captured territories. Recently, in Enerhodar, the occupiers are looting the educational and training center of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.

Against the background of massive manpower losses, the enemy uses alternative sources to replenish their forces. Last week, a passenger train was spotted moving toward the occupied part of Donetsk region, carrying hired convicts. One of the rail cars is believed to have been carrying female recruits released from penitentiary facilities.
