Russian troops attempted to storm Ukrainian positions in the Kupiansk, Avdiivka, Maryinka, Shakhtarsk and Zaporizhzhia sectors throughout the day, but had no success. Ukrainian defenders repelled 57 enemy attacks.
Russian forces conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the Avdiivka sector, suffered losses and retreated in Zaporizhzhia region.
Over the past week, Russian forces have continued attacks on the outskirts of the contested town of Avdiivka. Russia is almost certainly attempting a pincer movement to encircle the town.
In the Tavria sector, the Russian army lost more than 550 soldiers and three tanks.
