Ukraine’s defense forces repel 24 enemy attacks in Maryinka sector – General Staff

In the Marinka sector, the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled 24 Russian attacks in the past 24 hours.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its morning update on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"In the Marinka direction, our defenders repelled 24 attacks by invaders in the areas of Maryinka and Novomykhailivka of Donetsk region," the report says.

According to the General Staff, 69 combat clashes have been recorded in the past day. The enemy launched 7 missile attacks and 34 airstrikes, carried out 59 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Damage was caused to private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure. Civilian casualties were reported. The Russian occupiers also launched another series of missile attacks on civilian facilities in the city of Kharkiv.

The following settlements were hit by Russian airstrikes: Petropavlivka, Cherneshchyna in Kharkiv region; Novoyehorivka, Bilohorivka, Serebrianka Forestry in Luhansk region; Siversk, Avdiivka, Sieverne, Novomykhailivka, Urozhaine, Staromaiorske in Donetsk region; Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka in Zaporizhzhia region; Kherson, Novoberyslav, Tiahynka, Ivanivka in Kherson region.

More than 110 settlements of Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under enemy artillery fire.

In the Bakhmut direction, with the support of aircraft, the enemy conducted assaults in the areas of Dubovo-Vasylivka, east of Klishchiivka and Andriivka of Donetsk region, where Ukrainian defenders repelled about 10 attacks.

In turn, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue assault operations south of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, inflicting manpower and equipment losses on the enemy, entrenching themselves within the achieved boundaries.

In the Avdiivka sector, in the area of responsibility of the Tavria operational and strategic group of troops, with the support of aircraft, the occupiers do not stop trying to encircle Avdiivka. Ukrainian soldiers steadfastly hold the defense, inflicting significant losses on the enemy. The enemy’s offensive actions southeast of Novokalynove, east of Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, Sieverne of Donetsk region were unsuccessful. Ukraine’s defense forces repelled 17 attacks in that area.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue offensive (assault) actions, inflicting manpower and equipment losses on the Russian troops, weakening the enemy along the entire front line.

In the past 24 hours, the Air Force launched four strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment of the Russian invaders. Ukraine’s air defense forces destroyed one Kh-59 guided missile.

Units of the missile forces hit five enemy manpower, weapons and military equipment clusters, and three ammunition depots.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Defense Forces of Ukraine from February 24, 2022 to November 12, 2023 eliminated about 311,750 Russian invaders, including 1,110 occupiers on November 11.
