Since start of full-scale war, 362 artists and media workers killed in Ukraine
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Ministry of Culture.
The ministry emphasizes that these figures not only reflect the scale of the losses, but also serve as a reminder of the tragic pages of Ukrainian history. Just as in the 1920s and early 1930s, when Stalin's regime destroyed a generation of Ukrainian artists, today Russia is deliberately destroying Ukraine's cultural elite.
“Today, we are once again losing not just talented Ukrainians, but a part of our soul, because each of our artists is a unique personality who enriched Ukrainian culture,” the ministry said.
As reported by Ukrinform, Valery Lytvyn, violinist of the Veriovka Choir and sound engineer of the Beregynia Theater, was killed in the Russian-Ukrainian war.
