Ukrainian General Staff confirms strikes on Russia’s Orsknefteorgsintez plant and two helicopters
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
According to the General Staff, the Orsknefteorgsintez plant is involved in supplying the Russian army. The facility is located in Orsk, Orenburg region, Russia. It produces more than 30 types of petroleum products, including gasoline, diesel fuel, and aviation kerosene. The refinery has an annual processing capacity of 6.6 million tons of oil.
As a result of the strike, a hit was recorded on the plant’s territory, followed by a fire.
In addition to the refinery, Ukrainian forces also struck the following targets:
- Mi-28 and Mi-17 helicopters in the Babki area of Russia’s Voronezh region;
- a Tor-M2 surface-to-air missile system near Oleksandrivka in the occupied Zaporizhzhia region;
- an artillery brigade command post in occupied Lysychansk, Luhansk region;
- an ammunition depot near occupied Kremenivka, Donetsk region;
- a base for naval vessels in the Black Sea waters.
Assessment of the extent of damage is ongoing.
As reported earlier, on April 29, reports circulated about a nighttime UAV strike on the Orsk oil refinery in Russia’s Orsk city.
On the same day, Commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces Robert “Madyar” Brovdi stated that two enemy helicopters had been hit in Russia’s Voronezh region.
