Russian drones kill two people in Sumy region
The head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov, stated this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"Two civilians were killed as a result of Russian drone attacks on the border area of Sumy district. In the Myropillia community today, a 73-year-old man was killed – the enemy deliberately struck a civilian car. In the Krasnopillia community, an enemy drone attacked another vehicle. Two people inside were injured. Unfortunately, a 61-year-old man died from his injuries," the report says.
According to Hryhorov, the injured female passenger is currently being hospitalized, and doctors are providing her with the necessary care.
The regional administration reminds that staying in border communities remains extremely dangerous. The enemy deliberately targets civilian transport, creating direct threats to people's lives. It is only safe to leave these areas through organized evacuation in armored vehicles.
As Ukrinform previously reported, Russian forces carried out more than 80 shelling attacks in Sumy region over the past day, leaving several people injured.
