The leaders of the European Union supported the initiative to create a legal mechanism to prosecute the Russian political leadership for the crime of aggression against Ukraine.
The EU leaders, who are meeting today in Brussels, adopted a resolution on Ukraine, expressing their unwavering support for the people of Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression and calling on Russia to immediately and unconditionally withdraw its troops from the entire territory of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.
The EU and its partners should use all levers to force Russia to end the war, such as political pressure and sanctions against Russia, military assistance to Ukraine, etc. This will be among the key topics at the EU summit.
