Ukrainian MP Stepan Kubiv dies at 64

Ukrainian lawmaker Stepan Kubiv has died at the age of 64.
The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, announced this in a statement posted on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
The leadership of the Verkhovna Rada, members of parliament, and staff of the parliamentary administration expressed condolences over the passing of Kubiv, a member of the ninth convocation of the legislature.
During his tenure in parliament, Kubiv served as a member of the Committee on Economic Development.
In January 2026, lawmaker from the Servant of the People faction Oleksandr Kabanov died at the age of 52 following a serious illness.
