Russian strike hits Naftogaz facilities in Dnipropetrovsk region, two workers injured

Russian forces attacked several Naftogaz Group facilities with drones overnight on May 18, injuring two female employees of an Ukrnafta gas station.

That is according to the group's press service, Ukrinform reports.

"Several drones struck a critical infrastructure facility. Due to ongoing shelling, it is currently impossible to fully assess the scale of the destruction. Among the targeted sites was also an Ukrnafta filling station. As a result of the strike, two female employees sustained injuries and are receiving necessary medical care," the statement said.

The company added that the filling station premises and equipment were completely destroyed.

"All attacked facilities are purely civilian infrastructure and have no connection to military targets. All relevant services are working at the sites. The consequences of the attacks are still being clarified," said Sergii Koretskyi, CEO of Naftogaz of Ukraine.

Earlier reports said Russian forces struck six districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region using missiles, drones, artillery and aerial bombs, injuring 26 people.
