Von der Leyen to participate in Coalition of Willing meeting in Paris

President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen will take part in the Coalition of the Willing meeting, which will be held in Paris on January 6.

The European Commission's chief spokesperson, Paula Pinho, stated this at a briefing in Brussels, according to Ukrinform.

Pinho said that tomorrow, the President will travel to Paris, where she will participate in the Coalition of the Willing meeting on Ukraine, which will be hosted by President Macron.

The next day, January 7, von der Leyen will be in Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus, where the ceremony marking the start of Cyprus' presidency of the Council of the European Union will take place.

As Ukrinform reported, Ukraine, together with partners from the Coalition of the Willing, will finalize a document on security guarantees during the Paris meeting on January 6 at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. This document will serve as the basis for further negotiations with U.S. President Donald Trump.
