Preparations are underway for a meeting between the foreign ministers of the Normandy Four countries, and the date for this meeting depends on whether Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov confirms his participation.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said this at an online briefing on Thursday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"Preparations for the meeting of foreign ministers of the Normandy format countries are ongoing. Our French and German colleagues are trying to agree on a date that could be acceptable to everyone. I very much hope that Sergei Lavrov will confirm his participation in this meeting. We have something to talk about," Kuleba said.

He said that a video conference of political advisers to the leaders of the Normandy Four countries took place on September 8.

"That is, some movement on the Normandy track resumed after the end of summer. We are ready for this ministerial meeting to be held as soon as possible. We do not need to prepare meaningfully, because we are ready for this conversation at any moment. The main thing is that Lavrov dares to sit down at the negotiating table and find time in his busy schedule," Kuleba said.
