Ukraine interested in exchanging experience with North Macedonia on cooperation with NATO - Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has congratulated North Macedonia on the 30th anniversary of its independence and expressed interest in exchanging experience on deepening cooperation with NATO.

He wrote this on his Twitter account, according to Ukrinform.

"I have congratulated Stevo Pendarovski by phone on the 30th anniversary of North Macedonia's independence. I thanked him for his support of Ukraine's sovereignty. We also discussed the expansion of economic cooperation between our countries. I am interested in exchanging experience between Ukraine and North Macedonia on deepening cooperation with NATO," Zelensky said.

North Macedonia gained its independence in 1991 as one of Yugoslavia's successor states.

On March 27, 2020, the country officially became the 30th member of NATO.
