Zelensky enacts NSDC decision on personal sanctions

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has put into effect the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) decision of September 7, 2021 "On the Introduction of Amendments to Personal Special Economic and Other Restrictive Measures (Sanctions)."

According to Ukrinform, the decree to that effect, No. 458/2021, has been published on the official website of the head of state.

The appendix to the decree says that sanctions have been imposed againіе Olha Mykolaivna Kalinina for a period of three years.

On August 20, the NSDC imposed sanctions on a number of individuals and legal entities.

In particular, restrictive measures were introduced against Ukrainian MP Andrii Derkach and other individuals under U.S. sanctions.

According to NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov, a full package of sanctions was imposed against Strana.ua news site founder Igor Guzhva and his affiliates, as well as against Galina Solntseva and Lyubov Lukashina, who are engaged in illegal activities in Ukraine. Sanctions were also applied against Alla Bondarenko, Anatoliy Shariy and Olga Shariy.

In addition, sanctions were imposed against Denis Pushilin, one of the leaders of an illegal group operating in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region who registers media resources in the occupied territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

On August 20, Zelensky signed decree No. 376/2021 putting into effect the NSDC decision on sanctions against individuals Guzhva, Solntseva and Lukashina, as well as against LLC Lasmak, LLC Madzheri and LLC Smart Media Network.

Decree No. 375/2021 put into effect the NSDC decision on sanctions against Alla Bondarenko, Anatoliy Shariy, Olga Shariy, as well as against LLC Sharij.net News Agency.
