Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko has held a meeting with U.S. Congressman, Co-Chair of the Congressional Ukrainian Caucus, Brian Fitzpatrick, who is on a visit to Ukraine, Ukrinform reports, referring to the press service of Kyiv City State Administration. 

Klitschko thanked the congressman for the support provided by U.S. partners to Ukraine. In particular, this concerns decisions on the supply of lethal weapons to Ukraine, which is extremely necessary in the fight against Russian aggression, and assistance in implementing the necessary reforms.

"We know you as a good friend of Ukraine and appreciate your efforts to develop constructive relations between the United States and Ukraine. I would like to thank you for directing the efforts of the Congress to deliver Javelin anti-tank missiles to Ukraine,” the Kyiv mayor said.

Klitschko also noted Fitzpatrick's assistance in establishing the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.

In turn, Fitzpatrick told about his activities in Congress and assured of U.S. unwavering support for Ukraine.

"It is very important that Ukraine has bipartisan and bicameral support, and we are ready to further support your country," he said.
