Ukrinform
The Government of the Czech Republic has approved the inclusion of Boris Obnosov, head of the Russian arms holding company Tactical Missiles Corporation, and his relatives in the national sanctions list.

Radio Prague International reported this, Ukrinform saw.

According to the Czech Foreign Ministry, sanctions are thus imposed against a businessman who supplies weapons systems to the Russian regime. The sanctions imposed by the Czech government also apply to the businessman's relatives who personally benefit from such ties.

At the same time, the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs proposes to include the same three people in the European Union's sanctions lists.

The Russian oligarch responsible for the production of missiles that kill innocent Ukrainians must be held accountable for the consequences of his activities. This also applies to those who enjoy luxury in the Czech Republic with money earned from the trade in death, explained Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský. Today, on his proposal, the Czech parliament approved the inclusion of three more people on the national sanctions list.

Boris Obnosov is the CEO of the Russian state arms holding Tactical Missiles Corporation, which produces and supplies its products to the Putin regime's armed forces. Two other people - the Zorikovs - are benefiting personally from their family ties to Obnosov, the statement said. They own and use luxury real estate and cars in the Czech Republic.

The condition for inclusion in the Czech national sanctions list is that the entity has committed or is committing acts punishable under one of the EU sanctions regimes, and that this step (sanctions) is in the interests of the foreign policy or security of the Czech Republic.

In this case, the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs has documents that thoroughly record actions that violate or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence of Ukraine.

Inclusion in the Czech national sanctions list means that restrictive measures are applied to this person in the form of, for example, a ban on entry or stay in the Czech Republic, a ban on receiving funds in the Czech Republic, and freezing of assets.

As Ukrinform reported, Switzerland has imposed new sanctions against Russia.
