Ukrainian forces strike Russian command post in Pokrovsk
According to Ukrinform, the unit reported this on Facebook and released a video of the operation.
The regiment noted that Russian forces deliberately set up the command post inside the ruins of a high-rise building in an attempt to avoid detection and targeting, but the concealment effort failed.
Russia's 51st Combined Arms Army was formed in August last year on the basis of units of the so-called "2nd Army Corps" of the self-proclaimed "Donetsk People's Republic." The formation is actively involved in combat operations in the Donetsk region.
According to the Raid regiment, the strike on the command post of the 9th Motor Rifle Brigade will weaken Russia's ability to plan and coordinate offensive operations in eastern Ukraine.
Earlier, at the end of April, operators of the regiment also struck a temporary deployment site of the 36th Brigade, which is part of Russia's 29th Combined Arms Army and is engaged in fighting in eastern Ukraine.
