Russian strike on Shevchenkove in Kharkiv region kills woman, injures three others

Russian forces attacked the settlement of Shevchenkove in the Kupiansk district with a drone strike, killing a woman and leaving three others suffering from acute stress reactions.

Oleh Syniehubov, head of the region's military administration, announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"The enemy struck a private house in Shevchenkove with a UAV. As a result of the attack, a 51-year-old woman was killed under the rubble. Three other women suffered acute stress reactions and received the necessary medical assistance," Syniehubov said.

Ukraine's State Emergency Service branch in the Kharkiv region reported that Russian troops struck the settlement around midday. According to rescuers who recovered the body, the victim was 75 years old.

The strike also sparked a fire covering an area of 150 square meters.

Emergency workers operated under the constant threat of FPV drone attacks, the agency added.
