The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated almost UAH 4.8 billion to the regions to implement projects aimed at restoring the normal life of communities.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"We are allocating almost UAH 4.8 billion from the fund for elimination of the consequences of aggression to the regions as a subvention for the implementation of projects that will create the necessary conditions for restoring the normal life of communities," he said.

In general, the regions submitted proposals for the allocation of the second tranche from the fund for the implementation of 529 projects, Shmyhal said.

However, he added, funds have been allocated for 133 top-priority projects, including those related to the restoration of residential buildings, educational institutions, hospitals, energy and water supply facilities, as well as the construction of shelters.

"Funds must be used effectively," Shmyhal said.

According to him, the total amount of subvention allocated to communities from the fund will now amount to UAH 11.4 billion.

The largest amount of subvention funds was directed to the Kharkiv region - UAH 2.9 billion, the Kyiv region - UAH 2.8 billion, and the Mykolaiv region - UAH 1.3 billion.

"We have to rebuild the infrastructure that is critically important for people's lives as soon as possible," he said.
