France delivers first batch of 30 generators to Kyiv
The equipment transfer ceremony took place on Wednesday, Ukrinform reports.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko noted that most of the high-capacity French generators are already installed at critical infrastructure sites in the city. According to him, this includes pumps and other systems essential for water supply and wastewater management.
“Ukraine is our friend. You are in a very difficult situation, and it is very cynical that people find themselves in it during the harshest winter in the last 20 years. We are helping by providing generators,” said Nicolas Forissier, France’s Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and Investment Attractiveness, during the ceremony.
He added that France would deliver a total of 150 generators to Ukraine over the next few weeks.
As reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal met with Nicolas Forissier, the French Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and Investment Attractiveness at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
