Ukraine adds ten more Kremlin propagandists to sanctions list
In post on Facebook, the HUR said the individuals were added to the "Kremlin Mouthpieces" section of the War&Sanctions portal.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, the list includes war correspondents, bloggers, writers and journalists who are involved in shaping public opinion in support of Russia's military aggression and in distorting facts about the war.
Among them is Ilya Tumanov, a Russian aviation blogger and captain of the Russian Armed Forces. He is the author of the Telegram channel "Fighterbomber," focusing on military aviation. HUR, who supports Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine and assists Russian military personnel with logistical support and addressing operational needs.
Also listed is Viktor Shvykov, author of the Telegram channel "Reverse Side of the Medal" (RSOTM), which is linked to networks associated with the Wagner Group. He is one of the founders and the president of the "Foundation for Veterans of Combat Operations and Participants in Armed Conflicts" and a former participant of the Wagner Private Military Company. He spreads anti-Ukrainian rhetoric, publishes content from combat zones, and promotes the activities and image of the Wagner PMC.
Anastasiya Kashevarova (Dubnyak), a Russian journalist and media executive, was also included. She is the author of the Telegram channel "Anastasiya Kashevarova," founder of the media holding "Order of Felix," co-host of the propaganda show "Podrugi Zet," and co-founder of NGO Women's Front. She is actively involved in supporting Russian military personnel and their families through media and organizational activities.
Another figure named is Ekaterina Agranovich, a Russian journalist and media technologist, member of the supervisory board of a public center supporting defense innovation. She is the author of the Telegram channel "Ekaterina Agranovich" (formerly "KatRusya"). She voluntarily obtained a passport of the so-called "Donetsk People's Republic," acted as a proxy for Vladimir Putin during the March 2024 presidential election, and is actively involved in information campaigns supporting the occupation regime and the "Russian world" ideology.
HUR notes that all individuals listed in the "Kremlin Mouthpieces" section of the War&Sanctions portal are part of a broader system of Russian propaganda. The database currently includes information on 191 representatives of Russian propaganda who justify Russia's armed aggression and war crimes, promote violence and militaristic narratives, disseminate Kremlin propaganda narratives, conduct targeted information operations, and attempt to influence public opinion in different regions of the world. Ukrainian intelligence said that the voices and activities of these individuals should be restricted and blocked in the civilized world.
HUR and the Center for Countering Disinformation are calling for coordinated international sanctions, including travel bans, asset freezes and restrictions on media and business activity for those involved.
