Zelensky, Macron, and Starmer discuss Florida talks with Umerov and Witkoff
The Ukrainian President wrote about this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
“Together with French President Emmanuel Macron, and with the participation of UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, we just spoke with the head of Ukrainian delegation Rustem Umerov and US President’s Special Envoy Steve Witkoff following the Ukraine-U.S. delegations’ meeting in Florida,” Zelensky noted.
He emphasized that it was an important briefing.
“We agreed to discuss more details in person – our teams will coordinate schedules for possible further contacts,” the President added.
Earlier, Ukrinform reported that a meeting between the Ukrainian and American delegations on a plan to establish peace in Ukraine took place in the United States on Sunday.
National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov stated that, following the Ukrainian-U.S. negotiations in Florida, there has been significant progress in advancing a dignified peace and bringing Ukraine’s positions closer to the U.S. side.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio called the Florida meeting productive but noted that much work remains to be done.
