FM Klimkin: Court in Hague to start hearing a claim against Russia in March

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin says that the UN International Court of Justice will start hearing Ukraine's claim against Russia as soon as in March.

The foreign minister stated this on Inter Channel on Sunday evening, Channel 5 reports.

The Ukrainian diplomat recalled that the claim against Russia related to violations of the International Convention for the Suppression of Financing of Terrorism and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.

Kyiv asks the UN International Court of Justice to recognize that Russia must bear responsibility, in particular for: discrimination and mistreatment of members of the Crimean Tatar and Ukrainian communities, the conducting of illegal referendum and persecution of the Crimean Tatar leaders.
